Former Dudleytown Resident Passes
Kathryn Louise MacAslan, 83, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at her home on February 06, 2010 at 11:18 p.m. Mrs. MacAslan was born on October 31, 1926 in Dudleytown to Frederick and Dorothea Toppe Klinge and was married to Edwin Alexander MacAslan on May 25, 1944, at Topeka KS. They farmed in the Scipio area; she was a homemaker and worked alongside him for over 30 years. Kathryn also worked as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church., Columbus.
Mrs. MacAslan is survived by her husband, Edwin, of 65 years, Children; Russell (Sandy) MacAslan, of Shelbyville, IN, Roberta (Jerry) York, of Pace, FL, David Caslan, of Daytona Beach, FL, Chris (Nancy) MacAslan, of Columbus, IN, 8 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter, 1 Great-Great granddaughter and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Klinge, of Seymour.
Her parents, son; Ronald MacAslan, sister; Ruth Wolka and 3 Brothers; Harold, Robert and Albert Klinge preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dudleytown, with Revs. Michael Malinsky, Scott Kozisek and Allen Wolka officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00p.m until 8:00 p.m. at Burkholder Funeral Chapel and on Thursday, from 10:00 until time of service at the church.
Burial will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery after the service.
