Mrs. Mary Elvira Tilford

March 18, 1933 - August 24, 2010

Mary E. Tilford, 77, of Paris Crossing, Indiana, passed away at her home, on August, 24, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Tilford was born on March 18, 1933, in Jennings County, the daughter of George W. and Zora Mae McClellan Ferguson. Mary was married to Edward F. Tilford on January 24, 1951, at Indianapolis IN. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening, her flowers and bird watching and especially loved her family and friends.
She was a member of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Tilford is survived by her 5 children; Ed (Cheryl) Tilford, of Paris Crossing, Tom (Pam) Tilford, of Brownstown, Reta (Don) Poat, of Deputy, Janet (Tony) Vance, of Deputy, Gary (Laura) Tilford, of Paris Crossing, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Elizabeth Robbins, of West Baden and Ileen (Sam) Moffit, of Shoals.
Her parents, husband, 2 sisters; Carolyn and Frances Ferguson, and one brother; Richard Ferguson preceded her in death.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 27, 2010, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of service . Burial will take place at Cana Cemetery in Paris Crossing, after the service.
