Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bridges

Mary E. Bridges, 85, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at Schneck Medical Center on Thursday, August 05, 2010 at 11:25 a.m. Mrs. Bridges was born on February 10, 1925, at North Vernon, IN, the daughter of Charles Edward and Bonnie Opal (Peeples) Fox. She was a 1942 graduate of Paris Crossing High School. Mary was married to Lawrence H. Bridges on October 15, 1942, at Seymour, IN. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bridges was a member of First Marion Baptist Church in Commiskey, where she served as Past President of the Missionary Society. Mary was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Matron of the Crothersville Chapter # 338, and a volunteer at Schneck Medical Center.
She is survived by her 3 children; Judith A. Reynolds, of Keysville, VA, Larry Ray (Valeeta) Bridges, of Bloomington, IN and Eric K. Bridges, of North Vernon, a brother; Jerome Fox, of Cincinnati, OH, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, 3 brothers; Charles, John and Quintin Fox preceded her in death.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, August 08, 2010, at First Marion Baptist Church, on Commiskey Pike, with Rev. Jeffrey Hood, officiating.
The visitation will be held Saturday, August 07, 2010 at Burkholder Funeral Chapel from 2 until 6 p.m. and on Sunday, at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery after the service.
