Mrs. Florence K. Krumme

Zion Charter Member Passes
Florence Kathryn Krumme, 91, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at Schneck Medical Center on March 08, 2010 at 9:35 a.m. Mrs. Krumme was born on October 31, 1918 in Seymour, the daughter of Benjamin H. and Alvina C. (Otting) Surenkamp. She attended Shields High School. Florence married William H. Krumme on January 09, 1938, at St. John Lutheran Church, Sauers. William preceded her in death on December 20, 1977. Florence was a homemaker; lovingly taking care of her family and raising 3 daughters. She was a Charter member of Zion Lutheran Church where she served in the Ladies Aid and was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Her interests included sewing and quilting and she enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Alberta (Delbert) Tormoehlen, of Reddington, Irma (Robert) Darlage, of Acme and Marilyn (Ralph) Meek, of Henryville, IN; 9 grandchildren, Darlene (David) Towns, of Bellwood, IL, Linda (Tom) Blanford, of Seymour, Nancy (Russell) Crockett, of Seymour, Joan (Ben) Peters, of Columbus, Greta (Derek) Achenbach, of Indianapolis, Kathe (Perry) Preston, of Madison, IN, Jill (Andrew) Kamman of Seymour, Andrew (Debbie) Meek of New Castle, KY and Christopher (Carrie) Meek, of Henryville; and 12 great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and one sister, Dorothy Alberring, preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jeffrey Stuckwisch and Rev. Darrell Geitz officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lutheran Community Home and on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, at the church. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery after the service.
