Stella Laverne Waggoner, 68, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at Lutheran Community Home on August 15, 2010 at 4:20 p.m. Mrs. Waggoner was born on March 12, 1942, at Liberty, Indiana, the daughter of Marion James and Gertrude Billa (Pierce) York. She enjoyed her family, gardening, reading and bird watching.
She is survived by her mother,3 daughters: Patty (Tom) Gudgel, of Commiskey, Maggie (Joe) Laupus, of Seymour and Joann (Richard) Stout, of Commiskey; 8 grandchildren: Tommy (Miranda) Gudgel, Tony Gudgel, Cassie (Charlie Lane) Gudgel, Levi Roberts, Erik Roberts, Lakya Stout, Lathin Stout and Jamie Laupus; 3 great-grandchildren: Karragan Gudgel, Samantha Lane and Gage Lane; 4 brothers: Marvin York, Tom (Sue) York, Jim York and Greg York, all of Seymour; 2 sisters: Ruth (Danny) Jamison, of Seymour and Shirley Harris, of Austin.
Her father, 1 brother George York, 3 sisters: Brenda, Mary Ellen and Louise York and 1 daughter: Frankie Lyn Anderson preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Damon Marling, officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Ackeret Chapel Cemetery following the service.
