Immanuel Lutheran Church member passes

Dolores Jean Pollert, 80, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Jean was born on July 18, 1931, in Jackson County, IN, the daughter of Alva E. H. and Ora E. Hackman. She graduated from Brownstown High School in 1950. Jean married LeRoy Frederick Pollert on February 4, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers by Rev. Mueller. She had been baptized and confirmed at St. John’s also. During her working career she was a cashier at Baldwin/Bevers Pharmacy and a secretary at a local car dealership. She enjoyed being home with her children, playing cards and traveling. Mrs. Pollert was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, LeRoy; 2 daughters, Lisa A. (James) Ortyn and Beth A. (Don) Russell; 4 grandchildren, Christina L. & Andrew J. Ortyn and Taylor E. & Ally N. Russell; 2 sisters, Helen Calhoun and Hazel (Don) Meyer; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hackman and many nieces and nephews. Her parents and a brother, Orville G. W. Hackman preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Revs. Ralph Blomenberg, Philip Bloch, James Rodriguez and Vicar Martin Dressler officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel and on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, after the service.
