Avid Outdoorsman Passes
Larry W. Boyd, 63, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at his home on August 19, 2010 at 10:50 p.m. Mr. Boyd was born on October 25, 1946, at Shoals, Indiana, the son of Jack and Ruth (Hawkins) Boyd. Larry was married to Carrie “Kay” M. Grapevine, in Shoals on May 5, 1973. He was
employed at Cort Acres for Rose Acre Farms since 1988.
Mr. Boyd was a member of Hilltop Church, Duck’s Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but especially loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Carrie, his mother; Ruth; 2 sons; Andrew W. Boyd, of Freetown and George Edward Boyd, of Seymour; 3 brothers; Ronnie D. Boyd, Garney (Brenda) Boyd and Gary Boyd, all of Shoals, and 5 grandchildren; Jonathan, Joshua, Evelyn, Jordan, and Christopher.
His father, Jack; a sister, Wilma Cox and a step grand-daughter; Samantha Boyd preceded him in death.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Steve Muster, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, with burial to take place at White’s Chapel Cemetery, Seymour after the service.
