LaDonna Kay Barnard

LaDonna Kay Barnard, 77 of Seymour, Indiana passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at home. She was born June 19, 1943 in Jackson County, Indiana to Leonard Oral and Vivian Blanche Shelton Bowers. LaDonna grew up in Jackson County and then spent about 20 years in Indianapolis and about 10 years in Evansville before returning to Seymour in 2018. She was married to Emmitt Barnard for 23 years. She retired from Walmart after 15 years of work as a stocker. She was a member of Vallonia Christian Church. She loved being outdoors where she spent a lot of time gardening. She also enjoyed painting and crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Bowers. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Julia (Fred) Bryant of Vallonia, and Lisa Growe of Seymour, her brother, Roger Bowers of Cortland, Indiana, sisters, Patricia Starr of Vallonia and Debbie (Larry) Chadwick of Greenwood. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chris Barnard, Casey King, Chelsea Bruner, Courtney Browning, Lishelle Barnard, Shain Barnard, Amanda Pruett and Bobby Smith as well as 20 great-grandchildren. Friends may gather with LaDonna’s family from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Vallonia Christian Church.
