Loise James Billingsley

January 22, 1938 - February 14, 2022

Loise James Billingsley, 84 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born January 22, 1938 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Fred and Evalina Bartley Billingsley. He came to Indiana at the age of 17. He married Pauline Lawson on October 11, 1959 in Indianapolis. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather who was dedicated to his family. Jim retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the UAW 1111. His interests included woodworking, auctions, car painting, metal detecting, sports, especially wrestling, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 46 years, Pauline, his daughter, Barb Owen and his brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Mack Billingsley. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Ron Billingsley, Sondra Wooldridge and Patti (Ed) McCurdy, his brothers, Eagle, George and Big Boy Billingsley, his grandchildren, Dallas Billingsley, Nick Billingsley, Crystal Warfield, Chad Wooldridge, Cheri Sandlin, Chase Wooldridge, Josh Owen, Dustin Baker, Lyndsey Baker, Corinne Baker and Rob McCurdy and many great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with Jim’s family from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana. Interment will follow at Spraytown Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Jim’s memory through Burkholder Chapel to the organization of your choice.
