Joseph E. Stanton, 66 of Brownstown passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 7, 1954 in Seymour, Indiana to Woodrow and Mary Brown Stanton. He enjoyed going to flea markets, throwing darts and working word search puzzles and he loved country music. Surviving to cherish Joe's memories are his sister-in-law, Delilah Stanton, his nephews, Donald W. (Ann) Stanton, Charles E. (Diana) Stanton, Ronnie Stanton and Woodrow Stanton, his nieces, Deborah K. (Nick) Driver, Kathy L. (Scott) Cain and Brenda K. (Phillip) Cooper and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Paul Stanton, Charles Stanton, David Stanton and Asa Stanton, his nephew, Jerry L. Stanton and his Uncle and Aunt Osco and Edna Brown. A private family service will be held at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery.
