Lorraina Louise Schwartz, 95 of Seymour passed away at the Lutheran Community Home on March 8, 2019. She was born July 11, 1923 in Jackson County, IN to William and Verna Ruby Pollard Waldkoetter. She graduated from Shields High School, class of 1941. She worked for Fleetguard before retiring from Amoco. She was a great mom who was very devoted to her family. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Lorraina had a deep faith and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also loved to garden and was an excellent seamstress. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Marvin Waldkoetter, sister, Wilma Vance, granddaughter, Lora Howard and ex-husband, Alfred Schwartz. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marvina (John) Lewis and Jerretta (Tom) Bullard, five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with Lorraina's family from 11 am until 1 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN. The funeral service will be at 1 pm Tuesday at Burkholder Chapel with Pastors Jeffrey Stuckwisch and Brad Akey officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
