Mildred Mary Bode Bobb, 95 of Seymour passed away at Lutheran Community Home on April 26, 2023. She was born September 5, 1927 in Bartholomew County. She was the daughter of the late Edward Bode and Mamie Kuhlman Bode. On January 19, 1946, she married George A. Bobb, Jr. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He preceded her in death 2002. They made their home on Chestnut Ridge, Seymour, Indiana. She worked at the Excel Shirt Factory. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she actively served on many committees. Mildred enjoyed gardening and growing roses. She and her husband, George enjoyed dancing, especially ballroom and polka. They also were the founders of our local Orphan Grain Train. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 13 brothers and sisters and grandson son-in-law, Mike Miller. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Barry (Donna) Bobb of Carmel, Indiana, Sandra (Tom) Helwig of Seymour and Karen (Fred) Pollert of Seymour, grandchildren, Dottie Miller, Staci (Marty) Muckian, Eleni (Scott) Drake, Jimmy Baris, William (Wendy) Pollert, Aaron (Elaine) Bobb and Ryan (Stephanie) Bobb as well at 12 great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at 10:30 am Monday, May 1, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 S. Walnut Street, Seymour, Indiana with Pastor Ralph Blomenberg, Pastor Philip Bloch, Pastor James Rodriguez, Pastor William Fredstrom and Vicar Case Farney officiating. Interment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Mildred's memory to Immanuel Lutheran School's Faith in our Future Campaign.
