Richard Laraway, 70, of Seymour passed away at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour on Thursday, March 20, 2025 with his family by his side.

Richard was born on April 27, 1954 in Seymour, IN the son of Roscoe Nelson and Betty Ruth (Franklin) Laraway.

He worked in a factory in Bloomington Indiana on the Assembly line i for many years. Richard loved singing and playing the piano. He greatly enjoyed traveling, bowling, fishing, watching movies and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Richard is survived by his brother, Rock (Pamala) Laraway of Seymour; his stepmother, Neva Laraway of Madison; a stepbrother, Doug (Elle) Lee of Madison; a stepsister Jo Spray of Madison; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Nelson and Betty Laraway; two brothers, Roger Allen Laraway and Larry Daniel Laraway.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Burkholder Funeral Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Seymour, with Rev. Doug Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 and from 10:00am until the time of service on Thursday. March 27, 2025, both at the funeral home.
