Vicie "Vicky" LaVelle Tracy, 88 of Seymour passed away at Covered Bridge Health Campus on March 6, 2019. She was born September 12, 1930 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Wayne and Ora Long Lynch. She came to Seymour as a teenager. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Throughout her life she enjoyed yardwork, crocheting, bluegrass music but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also very involved with the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Vicie is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Damon McKain and Luis Tracy, her brother, Russell Melton and sons, Bradley Lynn McKain and Steven Joseph McKain. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel (Sue) McKain, grandchildren, Daniel McKain II, Katina (Kris) McKain-Kerkhof, and Deseree (Randall) Huarez, and great-grandchildren, Kristopher Kerkhof, Krickett Kerkhof and Coleman Huarez. Friends may visit with Vicie's family one hour prior to the service at 11 AM Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to Schneck Hospice or SOS Animal Rescue through Burkholder Chapel.
